Mobilization of equipments and 16%
procurement of materials are going on.
Already 3 Nos. Test Pile has been
driven out of 10 Nos. for Main Bridge; 7
Nos. Test Pile has been driven out of 16
Nos. and 28 Nos. Anchor Pile has been
driven out of 64 Nos. for Viaduct.
28,400 Ton steel plate out of 1,29,000
Ton has been already in site for pile
driving work. It is running to construct
150 m wide channel along alignment of
Main Bridge.
Mobilization of equipments and 12%
procurement of materials are going on.
Construction of Contractor’s office,
accommodation, work shed, stack yard,
casting yard, material storage yard,
labor shed, temporary jetty for loading
and unloading materials and equipments
etc. are also going on. Source approval
of some materials has already been
given to the Contractor and some are
under process. Plant has been installed
for Geo-bag filling. Also Ready Mix
Plant has been installed for production
of concrete block. Casting of concrete
blocks is running. Casting of 6,80,000
Nos. concrete blocks out of 1,33,01,248
Nos. has been completed. Dumping of
geo-bags is running. Dumping of
4,76,000 Nos. geo-bags out of
2,11,75,000 Nos. has been completed.
In Janjira side, dredging is going on.

Museum in the project area and
signing of contract agreement is
under process.
d) RFP work is going on from selected
short listed firms
for “Consultancy Services for Preparing
a Comprehensive Documentation of
Padma Multipurpose Bridge Project”.
