Reading
All children should read for at least 10 minutes each day to
an adult or older sibling at home. We ask that you sign their
Reading Record each time you hear them read.
Books and Equipment
Each day, the children should have their reading record and reading book. On
Wednesday, the children should have their red spelling book, green homework diary
and maths homework from the previous week. Please also check that all PE shoes fit.
School Uniform







Boys - Grey trousers, school sweat shirt, light blue shirt and tie.
Girls – summer dress, school sweatshirt or cardigan.
PE – tracksuit, trainers, plimsolls, spare socks
No jewellery or hair gel at any time.
Everything must be clearly labelled.
Hair accessories in school colours only

Oak Class - Spring 2015
Welcome back, we have a busy term ahead and this booklet outlines
the learning we will be experiencing this term. Our topics bring many
of the subject areas together in a purposeful and engaging way. We
teach Maths and English skills according to the National Curriculum
however many activities will be placed in a topic context. If you have
more than one child, you may notice similar knowledge and skills
being repeated across the school. Children will revisit concepts and
skills, experiencing more depth as they progress.

Please help your children to learn their spellings and complete their maths homework. Please read as often
as possible and check the homework diary to find out what we have been learning about that week so you
can work on this at home if you would like to.
