Students will learn and apply the elements and principles of design to produce creative art projects that reflect their understanding of these concepts. Materials: You will only need a spiral bound sketchbook*, $9.89 subscription to Scholastic Art (see attached form), and your creative mind. Philosophy: A. Late work: Make-up work is allowed following the student handbook policy. I will accept late work up to one (1) day late, after that a zero (0) is recorded and the work is not accepted. Exceptions are made for extended absences. Other rules: Classroom rules are simple: Be in your seat when the bell rings; Be Respectful; Do your own work; No Pop, water is OK; If it’s not yours, don’t touch it. Expectations: Students are expected to: do their own work; be respectful of themselves, their peers and their teacher; and to follow the class rules as laid out by the instructor. I want to caution students and others from having the attitude that this is a “blow-off” class. Students will be held accountable for their actions and attitudes as well as their performance on individual assignments.
