Kidder Memorial Home Obituary: Claudette M. (Bedard) Gadouas Dateline: Sheldon, Vermont Claudette M. Gadouas, age 76 years, died Monday morning, November 2, 2015, at The University of Vermont Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family and devoted partner, Gary Reid. Born at home in Montreal, Quebec Canada on, January 6, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Rene and Mary Rose (Benoit) Bedard. In 1945 Claudette and family moved to a dairy farm located on Route 105 in Sheldon. She attended Sheldon schools and on February 15, 1958, was married to Bernard A. Gadouas, who predeceased her on, May 30, 2004. Claudette loved gardening and her garden was plush and perfect. She made sure that it was cared for and nurtured as with anyone close to her. She also enjoyed dancing and Gary was her dance partner these last three years. He brought joy into her life that made her live life to the fullest. Despite all of the challenges that she faced over the last few years, she lived life to the fullest and had the time of her life. We know that she is dancing. Claudette leaves her son, Richard Gadouas of Highgate and his partner, Kristine Gilman; three daughters, Cynthia Larned of Georgia and partner Aaron Lumbra, Brenda McCoy of Georgia and husband David and Francine Perkins of Barre Town and her husband Jay; partner, Gary Reid of Burlington; grandchildren, Nicholas, Josh, Rachelle, Jessica, Danielle, Jennifer, Phylicia, Katie, Bryan and Deirdre; great grandchildren, Hudson, Mackenzie, Gabriella, Lexi, Braden, Bryan, Jr., Gabriel, Jayce and Piper Raye; siblings, Pierre and Rejane Bedard, Andy and Theresa Bedard, Rene and Helene Bedard, Louise and Norm Boisvert, Frances and Donald Bessette, and Paul Bedard as well as many nieces and nephews. Besides her husband Bernard of 46 years, Claudette was predeceased by a son, Jeffrey Gadouas in 2012; brothers, Robert and Guy Bedard; sister and brother-in-law, Denise and William Richard, Lorraine Bedard and nephew, James Bedard. The Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, November 7, 2015, at 10:30 a.m. from Holy Angels Roman Catholic Church, 246 Lake St., St. Albans City. Father Maurice J. Roy will be the celebrant and homilist. The Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at 2 p.m.at the Gadouas family lot in Saint Anthony Cemetery, Sheldon Springs.
