EXAMPLES: St. Rose of Lima Q: When is your feast day? Is it the same day that you died? A: My feast day is August 23rd. It is not the same day that I died but it is only a day before. <catholic.org> Q: I hear that you were very beautiful and that many men were attracted to you. Did you resist the temptation to marry them? If so, what inspired you to do so? A: I tried hard as I could to resist the temptation to marry them. Many of them only wanted to marry me for my beauty. Others wanted to do sexual things to me. I disliked the idea of them sinning because of me so I rubbed pepper on my face until it was very blistered and red. That way, men would not only look at me for my beauty. Also I did not want to get tempted so I wore a crown of thorns to remind me that Jesus was my groom. I was very inspired by the Blessed Virgin Mary. I have always left a big place for her in my heart. <catholic.org> St. Michael the Arch Angel Q: When were you born? A: I wasn’t born; I was created by my Father in heaven which is outside of time. I don’t have a physical body because I’m just a pure spirit. I’m an angel, remember? Q: Oh, yes of course. Sorry about that. So what is your role as an archangel? A: My job is to be a patron and protector of the nation of Israel and of the Church. I am the leader and chief commander of the angelic army and will lead them in battle against Satan and his army at the apocalypse.—(The Catholic Bible Dictionary) I have four tasks assigned to me by Christian tradition: fight the Devil, rescue faithful souls from the enemy, especially at the hour of death, be the patron and champion of God’s people and the Church, and to call away from earth to bring men’s souls to judgment. I’m pretty busy. — (Catholic Encyclopedia)
