Green Shoot Productions is developing a Freelance Facilitator/Trainer Database to support
future community engaged theatre practice and projects. We are seeking Freelance
Practitioners with Drama, Theatre Production Skills and Community Researchers. GSP
invites appropriately skilled Freelance Practitioners to send in a CV and statement
outlining relevant experience in the key skill areas specified.
FREELANCE DATABASE
Researchers – Key Skill Areas
o Research Skills – identifying key resources and archives, gathering data and key
source material, identifying and cataloguing/labelling artefacts
o Research skills – ability to identity, interview and record local informants
o Research Skills – analytical skills
o Research Skills – presentation and communication skills (reports, talks,
presentations)
o Knowledge of Northern Ireland’s Social and Political History (e.g. post partition
period/1930’s)
o Interest in Northern Ireland’s shared history/heritage
o Co-ordination Skills – supporting the organisation of community training,
programming of information sessions, talks etc.
Community Research Facilitators - Key Skill Areas
o All of the above and,
o Facilitation Skills to support youth and adult learning in community research
o Support young people (and adults) develop community research presentations
o Knowledge of Northern Ireland’s Social and Political History (e.g. post partition
period/1930’s)
o Interest in Northern Ireland’s shared history/heritage
o Ability to work evenings and/or weekends
Drama Facilitators- Key Skill Areas
o Drama Skills (please specific skill set/specialism and area of expertise within acting,
character development, voice work, creative writing and script development)
o Participative theatre workshop facilitation experience
o Experience of working with young people and/or adults (please specify) in
community settings
o Experience of working with a Theatre Company and Community Organisation in
tailoring theatre engagement processes
o Ability to work evenings and/or weekends
Theatre Production Skills Trainers/Facilitators - Key Skill Areas
o Theatre Skills (please specify skill set and areas of expertise within stage set design,
costume design, lighting, stage management, directing, singing, dance/movement,
etc.)
o Participative theatre workshop facilitation experience
o Experience of working with young people and/or adults (please specify) in
community settings
o Experience of working with a Theatre Company and Community Organisation in
tailoring theatre engagement processes
o Ability to work evenings and/or weekends
