The course objectives have also been revised based on information received during a training course completed by the instructor in Summer 2013. The new course objectives will be as follows: Students will meet the OSHA-mandated requirements to receive certification in the following areas: 24-hour Spill Response Training DOT HazMat Awareness (4 hours) Confined Space Awareness (2 hours) Hazard Communication (2 hours) RCRA Conditionally Exempt Small Quantity Generator (4 hours) JUSTIFICATION FOR EACH COURSE REVISION: I had not attended the instructor training course before this course was approved, so I was unsure of some of the training requirements.
