The Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Sports and Exercise Medicine invite you to attend their Biennial Conference: Physios in Sport – Promoting Excellence Friday the 1st and Saturday the 2nd July 2011 The main conference will be held within the Julian Hodge Building of Cardiff University, which is a modern building with a fabulous tiered lecture theatre and state of the art audio visual equipment not to mention free on-site parking! We have an exciting mix of parallel sessions - although as yet we are finalising the exact mix between halls. This will be confirmed very soon so watch out for the updated version in the next month or so. You are invited to submit an abstract for this conference (Deadline May 1st 2011). Emphasis will be on oral and poster presentations of original research, case studies and clinical commentaries along with selected plenary presentations. Deadline for submission is May 1st, 2011. All abstracts will be peerreviewed by the conference scientific committee. Abstracts selected for oral (platform) presentation will be limited to ten minutes, to be followed by a five-minute discussion period. Some abstracts will be presented in poster format and displayed throughout the duration of the conference. Authors will be notified electronically of an acceptance decision by May 30th, 2011 Instructions for Authors Abstract submissions should be in the following format: Research reports require a structured abstract containing a maximum of 300 words, divided into 6 sections with the following headings (in this order): Study Design, Objectives, Background, Methods and Measures, Results, Conclusion. The abstract for case studies should have 5 sections with the following headings: Study Design, Background, Case Description, Outcomes and Discussion. Clinical commentaries require an abstract that is not structured.
