Guidelines for Speakers without Paper requirement of Dean’s Forum The Next Generation of Teachers Project UNESCO Bangkok Preparation for the presentation Understand the potential audiences: The potential audiences will mainly be deans from the Asia-Pacific region, who will be keen to learn theoretical knowledge and practical experiences of ICT training for pre-service teachers. So theoretical concept maps associated with practical examples will be preferable. Analyze the education background of the participants: The participants will mainly be from Faculty of Educational Technology, Faculty of Education (ICT and pedagogy), or Faculty of ICT. Accommodate the diversity of current situations of the potential audiences: The ICT infrastructure, e-readiness, ICT-related curriculum in the teachereducation institutions of the participants will be at different levels. Before the session Provide electronic copies of your presentation slides (and presentation notes if any) to the contact person of UNESCO Bangkok (Ms. Tanaporn PERAPATE, p.tanaporn@unescobkk.org) by the specified date (18 June, 2007) for reproduction and distribution. Please review the tentative programme to verify that spellings of your name, job title, and your organization are correct. Inform the contact person (Ms. Tanaporn PERAPATE, p.tanaporn@unescobkk.org) of any correction as soon as possible. During the session Speak loud and clear during the presentation and discussion. Keep the presentation within the designated time slot. Participate actively and lead discussion during the Forum. Provide feedback to other speakers’ presentations. It will be preferable to prepare a few discussion points related to your presentation. When asked a question from the audience, repeat the question for all to hear and to be sure you understand the question. During Q&A/discussion, if you are running out of time keep your answers short; and offer details during the break or after the Forum if necessary. Finally, thank moderators and the audience.
