Homecoming Parade. 6:15pm. Cheer as community and student floats, WCU cheerleaders, the
2013 Homecoming Court and the Pride of the Mountains Marching Band parade down Main Street
in downtown Sylva.

Chancellor’s Brunch and Alumni Awards. 10am- 12 noon. Honoring the Alumni Association award
recipients and the university’s Distinguished Service Award recipient in the A.K. Hinds University
Center Grandroom. Honorees are Joan MacNeill, Distinguished Service Award; Johnny Carson ’71,
Academic Achievement Award; Wes Elingburg ’78, Professional Achievement Award; Manteo
Mitchell ’09 MAEd ’12, Young Alumnus Award. Cost is $15 per person, business attire. RSVP by

African-American Alumni Postgame Reception. 6:30-8:00pm. Relive the game and catch up with

Stompfest. 8:00pm. An annual stepping competition performed by black fraternities and sororities
in the John W Bardo Fine and Performing Arts Center. Sponsored by the Organization of Ebony
