Responsible for philanthropic advising to prospects and donors who wish to explore the most cost-effective ways to
structure personalized and meaningful philanthropic plans for shared benefits to both donors and their charitable interests.
Gift planning arrangements include, but are not limited to: cash*, publicly-traded securities*, closely-held stock, bequests
via wills, trusts, or IRD assets (tax-deferred plans, securities, CDs or money-market accounts), life insurance, charitable
gift annuities, charitable remainder trusts, charitable lead trusts, bargain/sales, personal property (collectibles including
jewelry, art, coins, planes, boats and automobiles), intellectual property (copyrights and trademarks), real property
including fractional interests (farms, homes, businesses, or vacation properties), and retained life estates. Documented
planned gifts are recognized through WCU’s Madison Legacy Society.
*Simple/outright gifts of cash and publicly-traded securities are processed via annual giving.

Responsible for the strategic development, execution, and management of WCU athletic fundraising initiatives (the
Catamount Club), in coordination with the WCU Foundation, including major gifts (capital projects and endowed
scholarships) as well as the annual scholarship fund and restricted sport donations to support WCU student-athletes. Also
serves as a member of senior staff for the director of athletics.

shaping a sustainable tradition of annual support. The Loyalty Fund represents the giving opportunity for alumni, friends,
parents, faculty and staff to make unrestricted annual gifts to WCU. Additional opportunities to designate annual gifts
include the Catamount Club for athletics and also WCU colleges and schools.

Responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Office of Development and Alumni Affairs. Providing
administrative and clerical support for the Vice Chancellor of Development and Alumni Engagement, including maintaining
vice chancellor’s calendar, scheduling internal and external appointments. Coordinate special events and serve as the
secretary for the WCU Foundation board and WCU Board of Visitors. Responsible for maintaining the membership
accounts of CASE and AGB. Process purchase orders via CataMart system. Additional responsibilities involve supporting
various campaign initiatives and assisting campaign consultant. Administers the detail work of the State Employees
Combined Campaign. Schedule staff meetings with the provost and development and alumni staff. Records daily mail log.
Process acknowledgement letters for development directors.
