Circle Time and PDMU relating to having fun together. Investigating bridges in our town and looking at pictures of famous bridges across the world. Discussing what it means to be part of a community and why we go to Bridge IPS. Bridge words – unite, link, join etc. Investigate the origins of the Carrick-a-rede Rope Bridge in relation to WAU topic of legends and myths in Irish history. Construction of bridges from junk materials. P4 led whole school assembly about integrated education week and friendships. PE – teamwork during lessons in gymnastics for building bridges. Paper chains linked to the Roots of Empathy work in P5 looking at how we anticipate and meet the needs of others. Building Bridges – PDMU work. Associated technology/WAU work. Looking at Vikings and bridging the past to the future. Looking at the history of Bridge IPS. Prepare a presentation for their peers about why attending Bridge IPS has been important to them.
