GOAL: The goal of this lesson is to have the students research some of the more famous types
of bridges using online resources.

- Students will use multiple digital resources to research a
famous bridge.
- Students will present their findings to the rest of the class using
PowerPoint software.
- Computers with Internet connection
- Ipads with Largest Bridges App
- PowerPoint software
The teacher will begin with a quick review of the last lesson. The
teacher will lead a discussion on what bridges students used
since the last class. The discussion will lead into some of the
more famous bridges students have heard about.
- Students will be split into groups and given a famous bridge to
research.

- Students will begin their research at
http://www.famousbridge.com/ online and with the Largest
Bridges App on the Ipads.
- Students will continue their research using sources form online.
- Students will create a PowerPoint presentation using the
information they find.
- Students will present their findings to the rest of the class.
After the presentations are given, the teacher will lead a
discussion on the information the students found most
interesting.
- Students will be assessed on their PowerPoint and presentation
to the class using a rubric.
- Students will also fill out an Exit Slip for the class.
