JOB DESCRIPTION
Massive Analytic’s data scientists and software engineers are developing the next-generation
technologies which are changing how people interact with, make accessible and use the information
in big data. Our ambitions are far-reaching. To handle information and to blend enterprise-level data
at the scale of the web requires ideas from every areas of computer science, including information
retrieval, artificial intelligence, machine learning natural language processing, predictive analytics,
statistics, distributed computing, large-scale system design, networking, security, data compression
and user interface design; the list goes on and is growing every day. As a big data engineer, you will
work in one of our small teams and can switch teams and projects as our fast-paced business grows
and evolves. We need our engineers to be versatile and always eager to tackle new problems as we
continue to push technology forward.
Using advanced machine learning designed to scale big data, Massive Analytic’s Oscar AP is a
browser based analytics platform that automates data science allowing users to perform advanced
analytics in an interactive storydashboard. Recognizing the shortcomings of traditional solutions,
Oscar AP is the long anticipated big data analytics paradigm shift. It’s designed to deliver exceptional
outcomes for decision makers and data scientists from their big data in the shortest time possible,
whether batch or streaming.
Our data scientists and big data engineers play a central role in the product development process by
uncovering key insights from our data. Based in the Engineering Group, you’ll report to our
Engineering Manager and work closely with engineers, product designers, and product managers to
tackle hard, open-ended problems. You'll also develop tools and infrastructure to scale and
automate the analyses that enable rapid product iteration
We also realize that mentorship is important to allow interns to grow and develop skills in new
areas.

ABOUT MASSIVE ANALYTIC
Massive Analytic is a highly innovative venture-backed software company developing world-leading
big data solutions. Currently in beta early adoption with major companies, Oscar Bao is an enterprise
SaaS big data analytics platform.
The Oscar Bao solution uniquely enables analysis of all the big data in a standard web browser by
eliminating pre-segmentation. This is possible because of patented invention Artificial Precognition.
Using advanced AI, course tuning first aggregates the data to identify hidden correlations and
automatically predicts the rules governing those correlations. Secondly, fine tuning uses predictive
algorithms to deduce categories and numbers. Eliminated pre-segmentation removes biases
confirming the validity of the end results. Oscar Bao puts advanced analytics in the hands of ordinary
business users in a browser. Designed using the Spark Architecture Oscar Bao, is infinitely scalable,
automating and commoditizing data science.
Massive Analytic has many awards and nominations including big data start-up finalists in Code_n at
CeBIT 2014.
