Conditions of Boarding
1.
All children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times while on Stable property.
2. No horse may be brought into the Stable without first obtaining permission of the Stable, and then only with
all required paperwork having been submitted and accepted, including but not limited to an executed
Boarding Agreement, Release and Waiver and the necessary veterinary clearance for boarding.
3. Stable must have on file releases from all liability signed by or on behalf of all horse Owners/or their
authorized agents, horse riders, visitors, invitees and/or guest riders before any such people may use the
facilities.
4. Management requires that the owner’s dogs must be leashed at all times. Dogs are brought at Owner’s
own risk and stable is not liable for any injury to Owner’s dog(s). No other animals are allowed without the
prior written consent of the Stable.
5. Owners are responsible to clean up after their own horses in the cross ties, wash racks, turnouts, sun pens &
aisles. Please take pride in your surroundings and keep the facilities as neat and clean as possible.
6. All doors and gates must be kept closed to prevent injuries and loose horses. All persons using the facilities
must close gate latches, snaps, and locks after passing through a gate.
7. The arenas are closed between the hours of 9:00PM and 8:00AM.
8. Horses may not be left unattended. Example, allowing a horse to be tied to a hitching rail for long periods of
time is not permitted. Stable reserves the right to return a horse to its stall or corral when left unattended.
9. Helmets (ASTM approved) and boots are mandatory for all juniors (under the age of 18) at all times when
mounted. An ASTM approved helmet is mandatory for all riders (including trainers) when jumping.
10. Lessons and/or training sessions take priority in the Upper and Lower Arenas. Stable reserves the right to
close any of the arenas at its discretion.
11. Walking your horse in the barn aisles while mounted is at your own risk. No other riding in the barn aisles is
permitted.
12. Jumping a horse is at the rider’s own risk. Rider assumes all liability and waives, indemnifies and holds
harmless the barn for an injuries or damages.
13. Make certain that you lock your tack room lockers securely. Stable is not responsible for any missing
equipment, tack, medicines, supplies clothing and/or other personal possessions of any kind.
14. No horse may be turned out in the upper or lower riding arenas. Turnouts, at the owner’s sole risk, may
only be in the large turnout and then only for the posted amount of time.
15. Owner shall not change a horse from its assigned corral or stall without prior permission from Stable’s
management. Owner has agreed to be responsible for damages to the property and/or horses of the Bell
canyon Equestrian Center, and all other person’s property or horses caused by his/her animal or children.

16. Parking of trailers (which requires prior written authorization and/or the payment of current posted fees) or
other vehicles is at Owner’s risk.
17. Lunging of horses in the upper or lower arena is not permitted. Please lunge your horse in the large turnout
or bull pen area for this activity.
18. IF AN EMERGENCY ARISES, CONTACT THE BARN MANAGER OR APPROPRIATE TRAINER. FOR NONEMERGENCIES, PLEASE HANDLE DURING OFFICE HOURS OR LEAVE A MESSAGE ON THE OFFICE MACHINE
AFTER HOURS . THE EMERGENCY CONTACT NUMBER FOR THE BARN MANAGER IS (818) 857-8161.
19. Barn may, but is not required to, obtain written authorization from owner or owner’s authorized agent
before access may be grated to owner’s horse by any third party.
20. Riding double is not allowed.
21. Monday shall be designated as the barn’s “quiet day”. On that day, the upper arena will be closed after
2PM.
22. The Barn Manager retains the right to re-assign horses to a different, but reasonable similar stall than
originally assigned, upon reasonable notice given, except in case of an emergency (where no notice is
required).
23. In case of an emergency evacuation, all horses boarded at our facility must have an I.D. tag attached to their
individual halters. The tag must be engraved with the horse’s name, owners name and phone number. The
halter must be readily accessible at all times. Owner understands that during a mandatory evacuation, Barn
Management will comply with the instructions issued by appropriate D.A.R.T personnel.
24. This agreement is on a month-to-month tenancy and Stable may terminate this contract by giving Boarder
“Thirty Days” written notice, without cause thereof.
