Sample Preschool and Kindergarten Student Growth Goals Directions: Critique the sample goals with your table group to decide if the goal meets the smart criteria. Does the goal include growth statement? Does it include a proficiency target? Goal Statement #1: By March 1st, all of my students will demonstrate measurable growth in their numeracy skills. Specifically they will improve two (2) levels on the Teaching Strategies Gold Objective 20a – Counting. 50% of my students will meet or exceed their performance level (level 3 for 3 year olds or level 5 for 4 year olds) on Teaching Strategies Gold.
