Academic Skills Workshop Series- Wednesday, February 11, 2015 the Academic Resource Center will be hosting their workshop series: Overcoming Test Anxiety at 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm. The session will be facilitated by The University Counseling Center staff here at the ARC. 2. Grad School 411 Expo: “Thinking about graduate school?” “Want to find out what it’s like from current Dietrich School master’s and PhD students?” The University of Pittsburgh Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences is hosting this event on, Thursday, March 19, 2015 in the dining room of the O’Hara Student Center 3. Interested in being a Physician Assistant- Pitt’s School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences will present information about their Physician Assistant Program on Friday, February 13, 2015 at Langley Hall Rm. A224 at 12:00 pm to 12:50 pm. 6. Elevator Pitch Workshop: Learn how to deliver an effective elevator pitch to employers and increase your chances of getting an interview. Student Affairs is hosting this workshop on Tuesday February 10, 2015 at 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the WPU, Room 224. Snacks and refreshments will be provided. 7. Career Fair Prep: Get ready for the Spring 2015 Career Fair! Learn what to expect from attending the career fair; Get tips and suggestions from a career consultant and discuss OPT/CPT and other resources with immigration specialist. Donation Opportunity: The University of Pittsburgh is striving to make history this coming spring as we introduce the Give a Thread campaign in an attempt to break the Guinness World Record for most clothing collected for the intent of donation or recycle. Large articles (pants, shirts, jackets, suits, dresses, shorts, skirts, etc.) will be collected through the end of February, when the world record count is attempted. Articles should be clean but can be in any condition. Items that are not suitable for donation, such as torn, stained, or heavily worn items will be recycled by Goodwill of SWPA to create a sustainable filler for insulation.
