1. TRIO Day Celebration : Thursday, February 19, 2015, 11:00 am -3:00 pm
TRIO SSS Day of Service: Our Day of service has been changed to this Sunday February 22,
2015, not Saturday. TRIO SSS supports the University of Pittsburgh’s Give a Thread campaign.
In addition to donating ripped, soiled or gently used items at the ARC, SSS students have an
opportunity to volunteer with Pitt Serves in the sorting of donations, at the William Pitt Union,
in the Assembly Room, between 11 am and 5 pm, this Sunday. Please join TRIO SSS students
and other university students as we support the University of Pittsburgh in reaching its goal of
collecting over 150,000 articles of clothing to be donated to local non-profits or to be recycled.
Sign up today with Mrs. Sonita Bell for a one or two hour shift. Let’s make history together!!!

2. Academic Skills Workshop Series- Wednesday, February 18, 2015 the Academic Resource
Center will be hosting their workshop series: Time Management at 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm. The
session will be facilitated by Departmental Administrator, Vanessa Webb here at the ARC.
3. Grad School 411 Expo: “Thinking about graduate school?” “Want to find out what it’s like from
current Dietrich School master’s and PhD students?” The University of Pittsburgh Dietrich
School of Arts and Sciences is hosting this event on, Thursday, March 19, 2015 in the dining
room of the O’Hara Student Center
4. Spring 2015 Career Fair- 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. William Pitt Union. Wednesday, February 18:
Engineering Science Math, Health, Information Science, Computer Science. Thursday, February
19: Liberal Arts, Social Sciences, Business. Professional dress required. Don't have a suit?
Borrow one from us! Visit 200 WPU on Monday, February 9- Wednesday, February 11
between 10 a.m. Noon to check items out from our Career Closet.
Avoid the lines! Pre-register for the Spring Career Fair through my.pitt.edu and use the express checkin line the day of the fair.
