Glencore Community Program North Queensland Guidelines Globally, Glencore plc contributes funding for vital Corporate Social Involvement (CSI) initiatives. The Glencore Community Program North Queensland (GCPNQ) is one of our CSI initiatives in Australia, reflecting our belief that communities should benefit from our operations. Through the GCPNQ we have provided more than $33 million to support north Queensland communities since 2005. Vision Our vision is to make a difference in Queensland communities. Mission Our mission is to partner with organisations to deliver innovative services and programs with enduring outcomes to improve the lives of others, especially families and the disadvantaged. Key Areas of support Capacity building well-being and development of our north Queensland communities: Mount Isa, Camooweal, Cloncurry, Townsville and Bowen. Application Criteria Our program will fund partnerships between Glencore and community organisations or government agencies within our three key CSI areas. The GCPNQ Application Summary Form must be completed and submitted together with a detailed application/proposal that addresses each of the following criteria: 2. How the proposed initiative/project aligns with our GCPNQ vision, mission, key areas, and how it addresses community concerns (provide rationale to support your proposal, i.e. feasibility studies, outcomes from consultations, surveys or gathered statistics, and attach any support material). 3. Applicants’ expertise and ability to manage the proposed initiative in a professional manner throughout the partnership period. 4. Provide a table outlining key milestones and measurable outcomes, and dates these will be achieved by the project/initiative over the duration of the partnership. 5. Benefits delivered to Glencore to recognise the partnership and Glencore’s contributions. 6. Overview of the principal beneficiaries and number of In line with our CSI policy guidelines, the GCPNQ will not support: Health 2. Political parties, political organisations, politicians or candidates for public office. To receive funding from the GCPNQ applicants must provide services or manage community initiatives that are sustainable and contribute to the Overview of the organisation applying for funding, including primary clientele and an overview of previous project managed. What we do not support 1. Applications from individuals, including those seeking support for activities such as academic studies, competing in a sporting event, travel or third party fundraising. Eligibility 1. Applications must address the criteria listed in the Application Criteria section overleaf. Capacity building, including: Education / training; Enterprise development; and Economic diversification. Environment 6. Requests to fund touring sporting teams. 3. Church or religious activities which are exclusive to one faith community. 4. Requests to sponsor events such as conferences or speakers at conferences or symposia. 5. Organisations producing, distributing or seeking advertising in audio-visual media, including print or electronic media. people who will directly benefit from the initiative. 7. This will be used to ensure targets are met and partnerships achieve their stated goals. Funding will be paid in the first quarter of each calendar year. For partnerships of over one year duration, any subsequent payment is dependent on agreed outcomes being achieved at the conclusion of the first year.
