Acceptance of Agenda & Minutes- accepted
Chairman’s Remarks– Donnie Read absent. Secretary Deborah Shaw greeted members and discussed
the purpose of today’s meeting is to draft the 3-yr Comprehensive Plan.
Brief conversation with DJJ reps discussing the challenges of developing new Board. Circuit 2 had a
working Board but legislative changes basically dismissed many of the working members in favor of
elected officials; the majority of which have failed to respond to the statutory call to membership.
Several counties have some representation; others virtually none. Membership dwindled from first
meeting to present. Good support but limited slots for longstanding partners who were members via
former councils now coalitions. None of the county coalition chairs submitted any requested data
with the exception of Jefferson. Franklin provided info via Superintendent’s rep. prior to meeting.
II.
BOARD BUSINESS
Ongoing Business: C2 Comprehensive Plan – see attached. Much conversation about plan. Group
discussed issues, goals, barriers, funding, grants, and existing resources. Everyone discussed issues and
shared a meal, which was funded by DISC Village, Inc.
New Business: 2015 Calendar- pending further notice

Prevention and Victim Services- Ms. Fortuna present on behalf of Interim Secretary Christy Daly
Probation & Community Correction- Chief JPO Minnie Bishop present.
