Student needs a ride to and from Awendaw. Please email me if you
can offer a ride to Wando PAC for her.
Sound should be piped to backstage and hallways.
Trees....
-Do Not change in or out of trees costumes in the auditorium or
the exit/entrance areas.....only change in main hallways.
------If your tree needs to exit or enter late from Rows 4 or 5, please
slip out or in from row A or B. Change only in main hallways.
-(Samantha and Abby)Crew Before show- 2 hallway crew need to
place Row 1,2,3 trees along hallway walls with one bag and flower
per tree....just use back hallway for all...make sure door is shut to
costume area, so noise does not enter stage. Same crew members
should move to wings after use.
(Reilly O)Crew Before 6:30pm - a crew member should setup
Row 4,5 trees by leaning them in front of stage. These trees should
remain in place for the entire show. Same crew member should move
to wings at end of show. These trees should get their bags from a
crew member stationed near corner of back and side hallways.
(Samantha and Reilly O) Crew During Show -A crew member
should be stationed at each stage stairway with a flashlight.....stand
on side without a rail. Assist trees as they go up or down the stairs.
Shine flashlight on stairs.
(2 Teachers/one on each hall….Williams and Hart)Crew During
Show- leave any other fairytale or guard props along walls. A teacher
should monitor hallways to make sure nobody bothers anything.
(Abby) Before final tree exit-Place three bins to collect flowers,
sunglasses and bags at final tree exit. Bins need to be in center of
each hallway.
Trees.....
- trees can keep any headwear on....ears, hats, etc.
- leave any other fairytale or guard props along walls. A teacher
will monitor hallways to make sure nobody bothers anything.
-when trees enter/exit, pull up front of bag to avoid tripping.
-A crew member will be stationed at each stage stairway with a
flashlight.....standing on side without a rail.....Assisting trees as they
go up or down the stairs… Shining flashlight on stairs.
- when trees make first exit and head to seats, trees should be
placed against auditorium wall....not in front of vents on walls. Keep
your flowers.
- pull up bag to waist before sitting down, so trees have air.
-Sunglasses should be distributed by crew when trees are
seated in back of auditorium. Trees should bring "cheap"
sunglasses, if they have them ( as discussed previously). If you have
your own sunglasses, keep them with you for both tree scenes.
Anyone without sunglasses can use the ones we have. We talked
about this earlier, so I know many have them. Do NOT bring
expensive sunglasses, please.
- on second tree entrance, all take flowers and sunglasses.
- on second tree exit, head to right and left doors near stage.
- place your flowers, sunglasses and bags in the appropriate bin.
- always walk in straight lines and make 90 degree turns at your
row. Do Not cut across stage
- Remember to ham it up! React, energy, energy, energy. You
look so cute when you react in a big way....Did you hear the
laughter when you reacted to toots and burps? Keep this energy
and focus for every song! Be happy and peppy! Stand out!
Ensemble notes....
Trees

Guards
- when you exit in Sc 4, go to stage right or left and then cross
upstage.....do NOT cut through Duloc performers.
- remember to "threaten" Gingy with your instruments of
torture....it looked great when you did it tonight!
- Remember to use the entire front of stage every time you
enter stage...space yourselves.....don't block another guard who is
standing upstage of you!
--Captains should always be positioned closest to center stage
of all the guards.
Dulocs.....great job with dances! Smile, smile, smile.
In Sc 4, exude lots of energy and bounce....think "It's a Small World!"
In Sc 12, same energy. Your reactions when various characters
entered upstage were wonderful! Remember, "face emotion
DC/look UC/face emotion DC." Also, remember you can have stage
business with other Dulocs as scene progresses!
Rats.....darling is all I can say......remember which side you are on for
dance. I love all the rat stage business in various scenes...too
cute!
Skeletons....awesome! I already knew the dancing was great, but the
costumes add even more spectacle!
Knights.....you look and sound great! I love seeing you perform in
costume!
Let’s spread out knights more….Donkey needs to stand between
Knights not directly in front of a knight. We will get new numbers.
Fairytale Characters....
You look adorable.....remember the spacing from tonight for Sc 2,
especially....we have room and want to see all of you!
Remember, you are angry....you have been kicked out of your
houses before Sc 2.....
in Sc 11, you are trying to let Shrek know it is okay to be
different....think how you act when your friends feel down or out of
place. Hold your green ribbon in the middle, so you have two equal
size lengths.
We will get more ribbons for Lead Fairytale….yours will be white.
Keep green ribbon or (white for leads) for Sc 12. Remember you are
crashing a wedding. You want Shrek to marry Fiona, not Lord
Farquaad. Return ribbons to bins by side doors at end of show each
night.
Storytellers…..
-You look beautiful and have beautiful voices. Be sure to stand at
SUM when you are singing backstage.
- Storytellers sounded great with Mama Ogre.
--check with Megan Bell if you don’t know what to do. It is difficult to
adjust to new blocking at Wando PAC…but you are doing a great job!
All Leads.....you did a great job tonight! I am so proud of all of
you! Did you hear the crowd reactions to your lines and actions!
Remember spacing from Sc 2 today....you have plenty of room. I
want you to be seen, front and center! Enjoy!

I'm A Believer! This track will loop during Curtain Call. First time,
bows, no singing. Second time, sing and finish with a flourish!
Note: Still start singing on second loop, even if curtain call is still
going on…..
Costume changes….please report to costume area immediately following
performance to exchange costumes. If you must leave before the other person
arrives, hang your costume on the rack.
If you did not exchange costumes as scheduled, please check directly with person
during day. We instruct everyone to place costumes on the rack, if they have not
been exchanged as directed.
