Funding was approved to establish the Central Grampians
Trade Training Centre. The Trade Training Centre includes
the construction of an automotive workshop and
commercial kitchen and also the provision of equipment
across two sites within the cluster. It will deliver
Certificate II and III qualifications in automotive and
hospitality to address skills shortages in the trades of
cook, panel beater, vehicle body maker, vehicle painter
and vehicle trimmer. The Trade Training Centre will
include students from Skene Street School, which caters
for young people with intellectual disabilities, some of
whom have multiple disabilities.
Funding was approved to establish the Ballarat Christian
College Trade Training Centre.
The Trade Training Centre includes the construction of an
engineering workshop, construction workshop and
furniture making workshop and also the provision of
equipment.
It will deliver Certificate I, II and III qualifications in
construction, engineering and manufacturing to address
skills shortages in the trades of cabinetmaker, carpenter,
carpenter and joiner, joiner and metal machinist.
Funding was approved to establish the Hills Hospitality
Trade Training Centre.
The Trade Training Centre includes the construction of a
commercial kitchen and also the provision of equipment.
It will deliver Certificate II and III qualifications in food
processing and hospitality to address skills shortages in
the trades of baker, cook and pastry cook.

seven sites within the cluster. It will deliver Certificate I, II
and III qualifications in aged care, agriculture, allied
health, automotive, construction, engineering,
hairdressing and hospitality to address skills shortages in
agriculture, in occupations in local demand in aged care
and allied health and in the trades of carpenter, cook,
fitter, hairdresser, metal machinist, motor mechanic,
refrigeration and air-conditioning mechanic and
toolmaker.
Funding was approved to establish The Ovens/Broken
Trade Training Centre.
The Trade Training Centre includes the construction of a
bakery, commercial kitchen, hairdressing facility, two
engineering workshops and an allied health facility, the
refurbishment of an existing facility to include an
engineering workshop and also the provision of
equipment across four sites within the cluster.
It will deliver Certificate I, II and III qualifications in
agriculture, allied health, engineering, food processing
and hairdressing to address skills shortages in agriculture,
in occupations in local demand in allied health and in the
trades of baker, cook, electronic equipment
tradesperson, general communications tradesperson,
general electrician, hairdresser, landscape gardener,
metal fabricator, metal machinist, pastry cook, pressure
welder, refrigeration and air-conditioning mechanic,
shearer, sheetmetal worker, tree surgeon and welder.

workshop and also the provision of equipment across
four sites within the cluster. It will deliver Pre-Vocational,
Certificate II and III qualifications in agriculture,
automotive, construction, electrotechnology, horticulture
to address skills shortages in agriculture and horticulture
and in the trades of carpenter, general electrician, motor
mechanic and plumber. The schools using the Trade
Training Centre include South Gippsland Specialist School,
which caters for young people with an intellectual
disability.
