1. Content (PGES 1A: Demonstrating Knowledge of Content and Pedagogy)
a. Identify the enduring skills, concepts, and processes that your students should
master by the end of the Learning Sequence.
b. Candidate Professional Growth:
 W h a t do you know about the skills, concepts, and processes of your learning
sequence topic?
 W h a t do you need to learn and/or review about the skills, concepts, and
processes of your learning sequence topic?
 W h a t plan of action will you take to learn and review the skills, concepts, and
processes of your learning sequence topic before teaching? (e.g. study credible
texts, discuss with peers and/or supervisors, do the work your students will do.
2. Students (PGES 1B: Demonstrating Knowledge of Students)
a. Identify your students’ abilities regarding the identified enduring skills, concepts,
and processes for your class.

Discuss with your cooperating teacher what your students already know about
your learning sequence topic and briefly describe your findings.
b. List the number of students in the following categories.

 Gifted (GSSP)
 Limited language proficiency or English Language Learners (ELL)
 Race/ethnicity
 Socioeconomic demographics (school-wide data)
c. Briefly describe additional student characteristics that might impact learning

a. Identify the resources and assistance available within the school and district to
support your instruction. (Must include a minimum of three (3) specific citations of
research that supports instructional strategies that are being use.)
