You will be assigned 10 vocabulary words from the story “A Dark Brown Dog” which you will use to
create 10 different cartoons.
The cartoon MUST include:






The vocabulary term
The definition
The part of speech
The phonetic spelling
An original picture demonstrating the meaning of the word
An original sentence demonstrating correct use of the term
The pictures must be colored and must NOT be something printed off of the internet! You must use
the format I have given you! The link is on the homework page for you to print at home-or you can
bring me 10 sheets of paper and I will make copies for you!
Option #2
Use 21 of the vocabulary words from the story “A Dark Brown Dog” to write a creative story that
successfully utilizes all of the words.
The story MUST:








Be typed
Minimum 1-page
Size 12-font
Calibri or Times New Roman font
Double-Spaced
Underline or Bold the vocabulary words you use
Contain a different plot than the one from the story
Use 1 of the vocabulary words in the title
