Parish Adult Faith Formation As we move forward with the next stage of the five year pastoral plan, we are happy to announce that we will be kicking off our new mission together with a program called Rediscovering Catholicism. Fr. Theo Lange from Mt. Angel Seminary will be here for two weekends to guide us through this wonderful book program. Fr. Lange will lead reflection and discussion on Sunday, September 28th and Sunday, October 5th at 10:30 am – 12:30pm. Following the September 28th presentation we will also gather for a potluck lunch to celebrate the feast of our patron saint, St. Michael the Archangel. Rediscovering Catholicism is a nationally recognized program and is used in many adult faith formation programs. Rediscover: is an invitation to find meaning and purpose in life, a sense of belonging, inner peace and strength, and true freedom through the depth and beauty of our Catholic faith. Rediscover: supports outreach to Catholics, provides formation opportunities to deepen our faith and will become part of who we are as a local Church through ongoing outreach and formation opportunities. Fr. Theodore Lange is a priest for the Archdiocese of Portland in Oregon since being ordained by Archbishop John G. Vlazny June 13, 2009. Theodore is the fourth of five children, growing up in Salem, Oregon attending St. Joseph Catholic Church. He is currently assigned as the parochial vicar for Shepherd of the Valley in Central Point, OR and Our Lady of Fatima in Shady Cove, OR. Fr. Theodore enjoys playing sports, hiking, painting, poetry, and spending time with family and friends. Books and study guides are available to be picked up after both masses this weekend or in the parish office during the week between 9am and 4pm. Read the book at your own pace, use the study guide to further enhance your understanding and then attend the two presentations with Fr. Theo for additional reflection and discussion. Please consider joining us as we continue to enrich and fully live our Catholic faith. Watch the bulletin for more information. Books available this weekend!
