Recommendation for Student Teaching and Internship: The capstone experience of student teaching and internship in art education requires a strong knowledge base
particularly in certain content areas. Academic performance in content areas is a predictor of success in this capstone experience. Therefore, it is strongly
recommended that students have a minimum grade of B- in all visual art education classes and an academic record with a grade-point average of at least 3.0 in the
following areas: visual art education, the history of art, studio art, and education.
