Letter to Redfield families re New Chapel campaign. Dear Mr and Mrs On behalf of the Redfield Chapel and Cola-seum fundraising committee, we are writing to you to formally appeal for donations to help fund our schools next building development. You are probably well aware of our next exciting phase, as our family school expands and grows in maturity. As mentioned at the first KPF this year and also by the Headmaster in the Weekly Red, it is the college’s desire to convert the existing ‘‘Cola”, (where the basketball/tennis courts are situated), into a fully functioning multipurpose hall, aka the Cola-seum. This multi-purpose hall, once professionally fitted out, will be used for the school assemblies, sports – including basketball, parent gatherings, concert performances, drama, HSC exams and the like. The current college hall, adjacent to the office and above library, will be converted into a school chapel worthy of the college. This beautiful chapel will be able to accommodate both primary and secondary boys united in prayer at mass. It will also be available for weddings, funerals and family sacramental celebrations. The total cost involved will be in the order of two million dollars, with $1,7000,000 for both the new hall and new chapel, plus an additional $300,000 going to retiring some existing debt. We are requesting parents contribute to this campaign with a generous heart, each to their own individual financial capacity. We are only too aware of the financial demands that private schooling places on families. Not everyone has the same capacity and ability to contribute; some are able to donate more than the $6,000 per family over two years we are seeking. Whatever your situation, we respectfully ask you to sincerely examine your personal circumstances and indicate on the brochure enclosed, how you propose to contribute. It’s only in times of need that our School requires extra funds. Regular school fees, the building levy and the Capital Loan covers the cost of previous building projects, this important task falls on us who dearly value what Redfield is all about. Every generation of parents is called upon at some stage to ‘dig deep’ for an exceptional responsibility. Had it not been for the vision and generosity of the first founding families, thirty years ago, Redfield would not exist today. They made it possible for a dream to become a reality. All of the above could not have been achieved had it not been for our founding parent’s generosity of heart and a willingness to help. You, make up the third wave of pioneering parents. Tim Abrams doc 1st April 2015 Letter to Redfield families re New Chapel campaign. We are aware your family will endeavour to do what you can to make this third generational appeal successful.
