International Buccaneer Buddies
As a returning international student, you are in a unique position to help new international students
adjust to life at ETSU! Every semester, students from all around the world come to ETSU to study, and
they face the challenge of adjusting to life in a new country and a different culture, just as you already
have. You can help make their transition much easier as a member of an IBB small group. As a returning
IBB international student, you agree to:



Assist new international students to adjust positively to life here
Actively participate in the IBB small group and large group activities (about 7 total each
semester)
Be warm, accepting, and respectful of all the students in your group, regardless of any
differences in culture, religion, political or social views, sexual orientation, race, or social class
