French innovation is spotlighted in Hall 4 at PROJECT QATAR exhibition

From May 4th to 7th 2015 -
Doha; May 2015 - 22 French companies will exhibit their products and services on the French pavilion
organised by BUSINESS FRANCE at the PROJECT QATAR exhibition from May 4th to 7th 2015. The pavilion,
located in Hall 4, near the other national pavilions, will provide an excellent showcase. The high quality
and reliability of the products exhibited are proof that, once again this year, made in France products in
the construction and finishings sectors are synonymous with research and innovation.
Qatar, which has close ties with France, has invested massively in the country and is a shareholder in
many leading French companies. In parallel, French products and services are highly esteemed by
Qataris for the companies' expertise in high-quality projects such as five-star hotels and villas, and for
their know-how with major sporting events. The diversity of exhibitors at the French Pavilion mirror's
the wide range of activities encompassed by the sector. Almost one third are exhibiting their products or
services for the first time. Others, frequent visitors to the show, are global market leaders. In all, they
represent the full spectrum of the civil engineering and construction industry.
An overview of the French presence at the Project Qatar 2015
PRESTO: for the past 3 generations, PRESTO, the family-owned French Group has been manufacturing
and selling tapware for all types of public buildings.
PRESTO has drawn on its decades of experience operating in water-scarce countries across the globe,
where the need to save water is crucial, to design more water-efficient solutions that will be showcased
at this year’s event. The PRESTOGREEN range is fully in line with environmental approaches such as the
HQE, LEED and BREEAM green building standards. PRESTOGREEN offers more water savings thereby
guaranteeing more credits.
ALLAINE: ALLAINE exhibits its range of adjustable pedestals made in France. Efficient, resistant,
simple and long-lasting, the adjustable pedestal can be used on a double- or single-layer concrete seal,
asphalt or any other suitable base. The range – from 25 to 700 mm – provides an easy access to the
pipes for their maintenance by passing under the slabs or the floorboards. This can be performed
without affecting the slab on either the base or the head of the pedestal through an adjustment screw
which can be operated by hand or using a special key supplied in each carton.
SOGAL: SOGAL presents its range of motorised closet doors, walk-in closets and partitions, all of which
are made in France. Every item is made to measure, featuring meticulous design and a variety of
adornments like mirrors, glass, wood and colour that will suit any decorative approach. For the past
30 years, SOGAL has specialised in innovative solutions to organise indoor spaces. The company makes
sliding, swivelling and bendable closet doors, as well as upscale partitions and walk-in closets, all of
which are environmentally-friendly. SOGAL is Europe’s leader in this field, and it has just developed the
first motorised closet door. SOGAL products have been certified "Origine France Garantie" since
December 2014, an assurance that their main features were elaborated in France.
The French construction sector, which consists of close to 340,000 companies employing 1.5 people
and generating sales of 130 billion euros, has a very diverse industrial base with a lightweight structure
that augments its responsiveness. Extremely competitive, its companies export high-quality products
offering cutting-edge technology and top-class design: innovative insulating materials, façades that let
light through, false ceilings, clay roof tiles, natural paints, etc.
