Sussex Gardens Roadway Railings Project
Residents may have noticed that the first section of the Sussex Gardens Roadway railings project has now been completed
and we are sure you will agree that it has greatly improved the appearance of the area. The second section is now also
underway. Below are two before and after photos which really highlight the difference these works have made.
Along with the installation of the railings, road resurfacing and installation of branded bollards, there has also been
landscaping works carried out and perennial planting, including spring bulbs to continue to keep the Hyde Park Estate the
Green Estate. Both the Church Commissioners and Westminster made significant contributions to the scheme.

Connaught Village
The Christmas event will be on Thursday 26 November from 4pm - 6pm. We have Raven stone Pre-Prep carol singing,
followed by Carol Singers from St Johns Church. The Christmas lights will switch on at 5pm.
There will also be festive treats and a hamper competition. Most of the village boutiques are opening late until 8pm, with
many offering discount and VIP evenings. A few are also serving mulled wine, having a raffle or transforming into a Santa’s
Grotto.

The out of hours maintenance Helpdesk - 0203 764 5571
Please note the out of hour’s emergency number and be sure to call this number in future.
The Helpdesk will assist you with emergencies such as leaks, frozen pipe work, replacement locks and broken windows
etc. But please remember that if the works are within your apartment, it is very likely that the cost of the repair will be
recharged back to you.
We have also introduced uniformed nightly security patrols through Vigilant, across the estate on all Church owned
blocks, 7 days a week, to tackle both anti-social and illegal behaviour, as well as to monitor night staff performance.
Insurance
We would again like to draw your attention to the insurance excess situation on the Hyde Park Estate. There is an

excess of £500 for all escape of water claims on the buildings insurance policy. This means that if you are responsible

Block update
You will have received the consultation notice relating to the internal redecoration project at Porchester Place. The
consultation period has now been completed and work will start in January 2016.

and 12:30 at the building manager’s office - located just off the 25 Porchester Place reception - to assist you with

Hyde Park Estate Website
If you have not already done so, we would like to invite you to register to the Hyde Park Estate website. To do so
please visit www.hydeparkestate.com and click ‘register’. The website has recently been re-designed and additional
features have been incorporated. A wide variety of information is available on the website relating to the Hyde Park
Estate generally such as historic photos as well as specific information relating your individual block, including
details of buildings insurance and block specific announcements.
Licences to sublet
If you are renting out your apartment to a tenant then you will require a licence to sublet. These are only available
for lettings to single families for a period of not less than 6 months. The process for application has recently
