Times for APIN Aplikace Oral Exam
Tuesday May 19th
The exam will consist of a text, which you will have 15 minutes to read. After this you will be required
to talk about the text for 15 minutes. When you are given the text, you will be told to find examples
to help you talk about two topics covered on the course (e.g. prepositions , features of academic
English, etc.). During your 15 minutes’ preparation time you will be expected to find examples of the
two topics in the text and prepare yourself to talk about them. You will be marked on:
Grammar and Vocabulary
Ability to Answer the Question
Pronunciation and Fluency
Ability to give, longer, structured, organised answers
The pass mark is 50%
