Partner Search from Ringsted Utility Service Intelligent Energy Europe - PROJECTS related to ALTENER - Bioenergy Deadline: Project title: Contact person: Project overview: Project details: Expression of interest 22nd of march (IEE deadline: 8th May 2013) Securing long-term economically and environmentally sustainable biogas plant implementations: Frameworks for tender criteria Name: E-mail: info@zealanddenmark.eu Address: Ringsted Forsyning A/S. Bragesvej 18, 4100 Ringsted. Denmark. Website: http://www.ringstedforsyning.dk/ and http://www.zealanddenmark.eu/energy Implementation of Biogas plants based on a combination of waste sources and manure. The biogas produced is planned for grid injection, CHP, heat supply and potentially transport fuel production. The project should aims to deliver concrete Best Practice and knowledge-sharing outputs such as feasibility studies leading to tender criteria and supply contracts and to concrete implementation, addressing, all the steps before starting up the manufacturing. Ringsted Forsyning A/S (Ringsted Utility Service) is an independent not-for-profit utility services organisation under Ringsted Municipality. The utility service is currently developing a biogas plant utilizing a mix of municipal waste, slaughterhouse waste and manure. Ringsted Utility Service expects to introduce several manufacturing lines in order to deliver declared degassed slurry for the traditional agriculture, the organic farming and for farms with special foods and dairy productions. The Utility service has established a cooperation platform between local players taking part in the process including the municipality, the agricultural Association and the food producer (slaughterhouse). Connections have been made with companies focusing on gas for transport use. Project idea: The utility would like to offer the committed biogas project into an IEE project as demonstration site. With the experience in Denmark concerning technological aspects of biogas production and the established municipal commitment and local partnership, the utility service provider wish to participate in a project where the Danish experiences with establishing commitment and networks can be combined with development of best practice on tender criteria, supply chain development and attractive economic terms towards the concrete implementation of biogas plants. The aim of the project is to create a network of different stakeholders to share knowledge and prepare concrete actions for the further development of a biogas plants with a focus on making it economically viable. The framework is established to start producing biogas in the said range of raw materials to replace the use of energy crops and to start using bio-methane for the transport and injection of biomethane to the grid. Implementation processes are what is needed. Innovative areas including solution for pretreatment of straw to improve straw gasification processes and bringing this method to full scale to increase gas output is included in the projects technical targets. We are searching for ambitious and motivated partners within the private or public sector from different European countries, who is leading a partnership dealing with the challenges in the future development process, Activities should involve: developing recommendations for tender documents and construction contracts (using Ringsted as demonstration site) Feasibility studies can be made but they have to lead to supply contracts and to concrete implementation, knowledge sharing regarding planning the commissioning and start-up phase, Partnerships of interest have to show that they carry the know-how and ambitions to focus on the concrete implementation aspects of the development process of a Biogas plant. We can provide know-how on the earlier phases and provide a concrete demonstration site for the European recommendations. The project should look to create an interaction between the different involved sectors as agriculture, food, energy, buildings, industry. Which kinds of partners are sought: Key phrases: Local and government authorities, biogas consultancy, partners with knowhow of financing mechanisms, Organizations within the agriculture, energy and industry as waste management companies, food and beverage associations etc Renewable energy, bioenergy, gas, implementation, innovative straw gasification process
