Science Presentations with Zoho Show Grades 6-8 Overview Objective Materials Procedure Evaluation Requirements This lesson plan is designed to teach the students how to work on and with the Web 2.0 tool known as Zoho Show from the Zoho Office Suite collection. It also will help the students learn about major scientists and their contributions to and/or discoveries in the scientific world. Given access to the Zoho Show program the students will be able to create and present a Zoho Show presentation at any time with at least 95% accuracy in grammar and use of the Zoho Show application. Access to Zoho Show Access to the Internet and/or other research materials (library for instance) 1. First create a short presentation or lecture over how to properly and effectively use and operate the Zoho Show application. All they will need are the basics. 2. Assign a scientist to each student. 3. Give the students one week to research their scientists and to create a Zoho Show presentation on their scientists. 4. Have each student present their Zoho Show presentation in class. Grade the Zoho Show presentation. Grade both the quality of the actual presentation and their use of Zoho Show as well as the accuracy and relativity of their research on and the facts they present about their scientist. Each Zoho Show presentation must be at least five slides long, not including the title slide. Each slide must have an appropriate use of the effects, the fonts, and the backgrounds available, as well as at least one graphic must be present. Each presentation must include at least three biographical facts about the scientist as well as at least two contributions/discoveries that the scientist made.
