Painting Your Way Into
God with Fr. John
Quigley, OFM
In our everyday lives, we
often cut short God’s
creative movements by
giving power to our inner
critics. In this one-day
retreat, we liberate ourselves
to the experience of noncritical self-expression.
Putting brush to paper allows
the mind and heart to enter
the creative space within.
No painting or art experience
needed. Paints, paper,
supplies provided. Location:
Friars Studio, 1605 Main
Street (parking across
street); Cost: $75; time: 10
a.m.-5 p.m. Bring brown bag
lunch. Wear comfortable
shoes. Register:
info@friarsstudio.com.
Questions, call 513-7393969.

Frank Kern, Bro.
Mike O’Grady, Vicky Ryan,
Jim and Dorothy Desherow.
O Lord of all love and
unquenchable compassion,
burn in our hearts
throughout this day of ashes.
Give us courage to root out
and set fire to all the junk in
our lives: pettiness and
impatience, overindulgence
and indifference.
Where there is a grudge,
help us burn it away with
forgiveness.
Where there is fear, help us
burn it away with the fire of
your love.
Where there is greed, help
us burn it away with selfsacrifice.
Where there is pride, help us
burn it away with the
awareness of God’s grace.
And after we’ve offered up
all our shortcomings on your
altar, help us to rebuild our
house on an indestructible
foundation of love.
