Manhasset Secondary Schools
Special Education/Mathematics Department
ID Math 7 – Course Overview 2015 - 2016
Mr. Bohn
I.
Course Description
This course will cover the 7th grade Common Core curriculum. Our topics of study will consist of Rational
numbers, Algebraic Reasoning, Proportional Relationships, Two & Three Dimensional Geometry, Statistics, &
Probability. All of the topics listed can be researched in further detail beyond the classroom via websites such
as EngageNY, LearnZillion, CastleLearning, Khan Academy, etc. The goal for the year will be to create a safe
and transparent learning environment where students can kinesthetically engage in mathematics, and develop
the skills and deep understanding of concepts that will enable them to connect mathematics to the world
around them. I look forward to working closely along side my fellow teachers, administration, parents and the
entire Manhasset community to ensure the greatest success for your child in the 2015-2016 school year. GO
INDIANS!
