Dear Parents,
At Brookwood High School, technology is a vital part of the mathematics program. Graphing
calculators are used daily as an instructional tool. Thus, it is imperative that students have access to
a graphing calculator in the classroom and at home.
The Mathematics Department is offering a rental program for students who do not wish to purchase
a calculator. The rental fee is $20 per semester, or $30 for the school year. This fee does not
include batteries.
To complete the rental process, please complete the form below and include a check made payable
to Brookwood High School. Cash will not be accepted. Students who rent calculators will be held
responsible for the replacement cost of a lost or damaged calculator. If you have questions or
concerns, please contact your student’s mathematics teacher.

FOR TI 83 or TI 84 CALCULATOR
I agree that my renting of the TI 83 or TI 84 calculator from Brookwood High School is for
my instructional use in the math course in which I am currently enrolled during the 2009 –
2010 school year. I understand that I am responsible to BHS for the return of the calculator
at the end of the term. In the event the calculator is not returned in good working condition,
I agree to pay the replacement fee of $100.
