Dear Parents
Some of the topics studied in mathematics by girls in year 4, U4, L5 and U5, will
require the use of a calculator. Any scientific calculator is suitable, but we
recommend the Casio FX83GT Plus scientific calculator which provides all the
mathematical functions needed, and which will continue to be useful for IGCSE or
GCSE Mathematics and into the Sixth Form.
If you wish to purchase the calculator from the Mathematics Department, the cost of
£7.50 will be added to the school bill.
