REFLEX THERAPY FOUNDATION COURSE

This learning opportunity has been awarded the CSP Quality Mark

This 8 day foundation course has been developed by the Education Committee of

ACPIRT as an integration of various schools of teachings and experience, to produce a course which introduces healthcare practitioners to the practice of Reflex Therapy.

The aim of the course is to teach the concepts that underpin Reflex Therapy as an assessment and treatment tool. Reflex Therapy has evolved as a clinical modality which encompasses the practices of Reflexology, the Midland School of

Reflextherapy and Reflex Zone Therapy. It treats the person as a whole, by incorporating the principles of holism with an evidence based approach to health and disease.

The Foundation Course aims to give students the skills to safely and effectively integrate Reflex Therapy into medical practice within individual healthcare settings, and in accordance to their respective codes of professional conduct. Using clinical reasoning skills, Reflex Therapy can be adapted for use across a broad spectrum of medical genres, and applied to babies through to adult life, making the course suitable for medically trained professionals such as physiotherapists, nurses, doctors and other Allied Health Professionals.

The course has been endorsed by the CSP as a learning opportunity that has been awarded the CSP Quality Mark.

The 8 day course of 56 hours direct contact CPD, is delivered in 4 weekend modules, over a 6 month period. Attendance at all weekends is required to achieve certification of attendance.
