Receives patient from ER/OPD and accompany them to their respective beds
safely.
Establishing rapport to the patient and relatives.
Performs overall patient assessment including their admission vital signs.
Carry out physician’s orders.
Prepares and give medications as per doctor’s order.
Sends laboratory request upon physician’s order.
Document all pertinent data in patients chart.
Refer patient to physician’s as needed
Inserts and manage overall intravenous procedure.
Performs indwelling urinary catheterization as per doctor’s order.
Performs manual cardio pulmonary resuscitation as needed.
Endorse patient and their concerns properly and accurately on the next shift.
Provide care to patients before, during and after surgical procedures
Conducts pre and post-operative education
Ensure pre surgery protocols, tests, and x-rays
Relay messages and ensure that the patient has a clear understanding of
the procedure they are about to undergo.
Serves as the communication liaison to family and members of the operating
team
Records all care information concisely, accurately and completely, in a timely
manner, in the appropriate format and on the appropriate forms
Sterilize and arrange surgical equipment and make the operation room
ready for procedures
Assist the operating physician in the procedure, monitor the patient’s vital
signs and maintain a sterile environment.
Responds to life-saving situations based upon nursing standards and
protocol
Continue to assist the patient with their recovery by administering medicine
for pain relief, cleaning and dressing wounds, monitoring vital signs.
May take on the role as scrub nurse and circulating nurse.
Performs triage as whether the patient is an ER or OPD case also classify
patient according to their needs such as emergent, urgent, and non-urgent.
Taking medical history, administering medicines, monitoring vital signs and
response to treatment, dressing wounds and providing other assistance
wherever and whenever they are.
Places intravenous lines as per doctor’s order.
Monitors patient status in accordance to their needs.
Performs procedures such as catheterization, oxygenation, suctioning and
manual cardio pulmonary resuscitation.
Assisting physician in minor operations and procedures such as wound
suturing, incision and drainage and providing artificial airway.
Accomplish documents for admission and ensures that physician orders are
carried out before bringing the patient to ward.
Endorse the patient safely to the ward for further management or referred
and sent out in better condition.
