CRITERIA FOR CONSIDERATION FOR THE 2014 COURT
Please read the information carefully. Be sure you and your parent(s) or guardian(s) understand
these rules and criteria, as we will not make exceptions for any student for any reason. To be
considered for the court, each candidate must:
 Be a CURRENT WCHS student.
 Have at least a 2.5 weighted GPA
 Have NO LEVEL 2 or LEVEL 3 REFERRALS since 8/20/11.
 Have NO Out-of-School Suspensions since 8/20/11.
 Have 25 signatures from classmates, supporting your candidacy for court
 Receive TWO faculty/staff signatures from current or previous WCHS teachers
 Have nomination form signed by an administrator
 Turn in ALL FORMS by Tuesday, April 22, 2014 to Room 307 by 2:00 p.m.
 NO EXTENSIONS WILL BE GRANTED FOR ANY REASON!

4/30 Court nomination voting during homeroom
5/9 Prom Court Meeting
5/10 Prom
On Prom night students will be voting for King and Queen from the winners of the Class of
2014’s Prom Court and Prince and Prince and Princess from the winner’s of the Class of 2015.
All members of court will be introduced before results are announced.

PLEDGE OF RESPONSIBILITY
I, ______________________________, realize that my duties and responsibilities as a candidate for the 2013
Homecoming Court include the following:
1. I must maintain a weighted GPA of at least 2.5.
2. I must at all times set a good example as a WCHS representative. I understand that my
discipline record and grades could prevent me from being eligible.
3. I will cooperate fully with Class of 2015 Sponsors and WCHS Administration.
4. I will abide by ALL the rules and regulations outlined in the Student Code of Conduct.
5. I will be appropriately dressed for all Prom activities. Failure to adhere to the school and
district dress code WILL result in my exclusion from those activities.
6. Voting will take place during homeroom on specific days. I understand court nomination
voting ends at 9:50 a.m. on Wednesday, August 30, 2014. There will be no late or
absentee voting.
7. Voting for Prom King/Queen and Prince/Princess will take place on Prom Night from
8:30-9:30pm. There will be no late or absentee voting.
8. I will attend the Prom Court meeting in room 307 on Friday May 9, after school
from 2-2:30.
9. On Prom Night, I will make sure to check in with Ms. Blanco on the Second Floor of
the boat at 9:45pm to take pictures before the announcement of the winners on the
upper deck. I will make sure I have all of my Prom Court accessories, including my
sash.
10.If, for any reason, I cannot or do not fulfill any or all of these responsibilities, I
understand that I will be eliminated from participation.
