The University of York Learning and Teaching Award (YLTA) - mapped to existing workshops and the UK Professional Standards Framework
The University of York Learning and Teaching Award, YLTA is a 9 month accredited, credit bearing programme which runs annually from October – June. It is accredited by the Higher
Education Academy at Associate Fellowship level (D1). On successful completion of the programme students are able to use the post-nominal letters AFHEA. Completion of the one day
‘Introduction to Learning and Teaching’ course or the two day Intensive Residential for PGWT is a pre-requisite for the programme. Students must have also secured teaching opportunities
and have the support of their academic supervisor and departmental PGWT co-ordinator. Students must complete ALL FOUR STRANDS AT THE TIMES INDICATED TO BE ELIGIBILE.
