ABOUT OUR TUTORS PRACTISE COMMITMENT 2015 TUITION FEES St Vincent’s College engages qualified professionals with extensive experience in performance and performing arts education, across the community and professional spectrum. All students enrolled in Co-Curricular Performing Arts are making a serious commitment to their studies, and must undertake practise as requested by their Tutor. This includes being on time for lessons, prepared with any necessary instruments, equipment or documents. It is the student’s responsibility to confirm their lesson time and requirements for the next lesson in advance. Individual Tuition Fees as of Term 1: PERFORMANCE & ENSEMBLES Group Tuition Fees as of Term 1: Group lessons are offered in Speech and Drama, and Contemporary Dance. TERMS AND CONDITIONS It is expected that Tutors are afforded total respect and consideration at all times, and that the following terms and conditions are adhered to. Students enrolling in Co-Curricular Performing Arts are committing to a full year of tuition (i.e. until the end of Term 4, - with the exception of Year 12 students). The full year tuition is divided into four payments for each school term. Tutors issue an invoice that is to be paid directly to them upon receipt. If you intend to withdraw your daughter from an area of tuition, written advice (letter or email) must be given before the end of the current term notifying your Tutor and the Performing Arts CoCurricular Administrator. Note: If adequate notice of withdrawal is not received, you will be charged in full for the following term. RESCHEDULING LESSONS If you wish to reschedule a lesson, 48 hours’ notice must be given directly to the Tutor. This includes incursions and excursions, lesson changes due to assessments, and any other school absences. Lessons missed without prior notification will not be made up by the Tutor. Performance is integral to the Performing Arts Program at St Vincent’s College. All students are expected to accept performance opportunities enthusiastically and participate in school ensembles and events related to their area of tuition, as their Tutor will encourage them to do. It is also expecteded that music students will seek to be actively involved in the ensemble which best suits the instrument of their focus, and attend regular rehearsals at the scheduled times. INSTRUMENT HIRE Although it is recommended that all students have their own instruments, some are available for hire from St Vincent’s College for a fee of $50 per term. In hiring an instrument, parents undertake to maintain its condition at the time of hire. If the instrument is damaged or lost by negligence, the instrument must be repaired or replaced by the parents. Parents must ensure the instrument is covered by their House and Contents insurance.
