Foundations for above ground markers are 36” in depth
Foundations for flush markers are at least 30” in depth and do not require a margin
The formula for figuring the cost of a above ground monument foundation is:
Add 4” to the length of the headstone or its base and 4” to the width to allow a 2” margin all
around.
(Length of Foundation in inches x Width of Foundation in inches x Depth of Foundation
in inches) divided by 1728 = cubic ft. x ($30) = Foundation Cost (round to the nearest
dollar)
Example: Size of Headstone 3’ x 1’ 2” Size of Foundation 40” x 18”
Foundation: 40” x 18” = 720 x 36 = 25920 divided by 1728 = 15 cubic feet x $30 = $45
Foundations are installed as weather permits beginning the last part of April through mid
October.
Please submit two copies of the order which should include a sketch and the full inscription to
the address above. For double stones, the husband’s name is usually on the right. Please do not
send payment with the order as there may be extenuating circumstances.
