Resolution 2015-12-4 (December 2015) passed by the Canaan Township Trustees at their December 7,
2015 meeting, replaces the previous rate structure of the Big Darby Cemetery and takes effect
January 1, 2016:
Purchase of lots is open to current Canaan Township residents and property owners. Those persons with
close relatives already buried in Big Darby Cemetery may also be considered.
Burial Requests /Services are monitored by the Board of Trustees with the permission of the lot owner or
heirs. To establish fees, current residency or property ownership is re-evaluated each time a service is
rendered.

MONUMENT FOOTERS:
The Canaan Township Trustees will continue to require monument companies to prepare their own
foundations when setting a monument within the Big Darby Cemetery.
Resolution 2007-1-4 passed by the Canaan Township Trustees at their January 8, 2007 meeting, adds a
$15 fee and contractor guidelines as to installation and depth of monuments.
