This is the newsletter brought to you by the Pupil Council. Each term we will let you know what has been going on in each classroom. Every class will be asked to pick their best bits for us. This term the whole school have enjoyed Sports Day, our new sound system as well as a whole school trip to Aden Country Park. We can’t believe how quickly this term has gone by. We loved having the chicks in the classroom. It was amazing to see them hatching and growing. P4 – Mrs Casey-McKay This term we have been doing a lot of things. We have a Titanic project which is very fascinating and problem solving with Mrs Hosea. We also came second place in the Biodiversity Competition and we go to our swimming lessons on Monday mornings. P5 – Mrs Hamilton P5 enjoyed learning about Titanic, Get About Road show, Maritime Museum, Watching our Medieval Movie with the whole school, Sports Day, Fischy Music, Rota Kids. Some people even enjoyed doing Living and Growing! P4/5 – Miss Youngson o We Really enjoyed watching P5’s Medieval Movie. o Maritime Museum Trip o Titanic Topic including sinking comic strip, Class posters, making model cabins and ships o Teacher o Finding out our new teacher o Self portraits o Andy Warhol portraits o Problem Solving o ICT – photo flexer P6A – Miss Hardman o Gaining our Science Champion Awards and attending the presentation o Bikeability and The Bike Road show o Reading ‘Holes’ in class o Grow Well Choices – learning about healthy eating and exercise o Fischy Music o Sports Day o Reading buddies with P1 P6B– Miss McKnockiter o We went to the Beach ball Room to received our Science Champion Awards o We won class of the week for the second time o We found out about Brazil as part of our class project on the World Cup o For a homework project we researched and then built our own fantastic football stadiums P7A – Mrs MacKenzie Going to Dalguise. We thoroughly enjoyed the bike roadshow as we got to ride many different kinds of bikes. Taking part in Joseph has been great. Going to Cullen was great as we were with the Academy classes. Our academy visits where we met some of our teachers. Lead Sports day at the academy and Dyce Sports Day. P7B – Mrs Paterson o The trip to Dalguise was an experiences to remember. We all had a fabulous time. o Our Cullen trip was also a fun experience and it was great to meet the people who will be in our Academy class. o Joseph was a lot of hard work but we really enjoyed it. The performances were nerve wracking but fun! This year the Pupil Council have been working very hard on ways to make the school better as well as coordinating the Class of the Week award. We have been working with Mrs MacKenzie for this. Some of the Pupil Council went to Aberdeen University for a China Day. We learned a lot of China and a bit about its people and language. We have really enjoyed being part of the Pupil Council and wish those who do it next year lots of luck. Thank you for reading our Pupil Council Newsletter.
