SUMMARY
Responsible for sustaining and expanding environmental services and for managing complex and large environmental
B programs/projects. Initial assignment includes the overall direction of a large Data Gathering, Data Entry Assistance, and IAP
Support for the Army Cleanup Programs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES – Including, but not limited to:










Direct a large complex Data Gathering, Data Entry Assistance, and IAP Support for the Army Cleanup Programs
Develop overall program roadmap to guide planning at the service, client and/or contract, level.
Review and approve detailed project/component level plans.
Develop and define acceptance criteria for all program/project phases/key deliverables.
Ensure program stays aligned to the strategic goals and delivers the planned/stated benefits.
Close monitoring of critical milestones and deliverables.
Overall responsible for cost, schedule, quality and customer satisfaction.
Facilitate gathering of project/program requirement.
Develop program organization structure that ensures alignment of all program components towards collaborative
execution and clearly defines roles and responsibilities of the program team.
Responsible for staffing the program with skilled resources using either internal resource pool or hiring from the market.
Collaborate with various groups within Ahtna and multiple client organizations.
Engage all necessary parties to successfully complete the program/project.
Identification, analysis of all program risks and preparation for risk response plan.
Proactive communication of risks to concerned stakeholders.
Identify and ensure resolution of all program level issues.
Manage all communications between internal stakeholders, client and third.
Ensure preparation for various status and progress reports with metrics for various stakeholders.
Provides overall direction and vision to the program team
Align all the program components and groups to ensure program success
Identify and manage all kinds of conflicts
Create a high performance team environment where diversity is valued and people are treated with respect and dignity
Coach and mentor project managers
Performance management of the program team (goal setting, appraisal etc.)
Consistently utilize Ahtna standard program management assets, framework, tools and processes
Ensure compliance to all quality and security processes
Setup the overall program governance in collaboration with the program sponsor and the client
Act as a SPOC for the client for any program related issues
Ensure program reviews are done in time and all escalated issues/risks are addressed
Provides direct support by generating leads and providing technical support for proposal development
Desire and drive to develop and grow an expanding environmental services portfolio
QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED:






Must be able to work in a high paced, demanding work environment with deadline driven schedules with the ability to
organize work priorities.
Must be able to have clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
Must have the ability to understand construction specification requirements.
Must be able prepare accurate and complete submittals, work plans, documentation, regulatory forms, and
correspondence.
Enthusiastic and motivated, sincerely enjoy contract/administrative work and maintaining excellent customer/client
relationships.
Must possess exceptional organizational skills to enhance timeliness and efficiency as well as knowledge of filing and
updating records.
Capable of working independently as well as with varying levels of personnel and work disciplines to accomplish a team
atmosphere.
15+years of experience in federal and state contracting 10 years with AEC
10+ years of experience in leading complex projects/programs with budgets in excess of $10M or Team Size of 10+
people
PREFERRED:

Bachelor degree or higher in Engineering, Science, or Construction Management
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
The work environment characteristics described in this job description are representative of those an employee encounters while
performing the essential duties and responsibilities of this job. Generally indoors, while outdoors may be subject to site conditions,
changes in temperature, weather conditions and noise levels. Office environment with frequent interruptions, high paced atmosphere
with tendencies of having an extremely heavy work load.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Frequent sitting for prolonged periods of time, using hands/fingers requiring dexterity and coordination to handle files and single pieces
of paper, reaching with hands and arms for items above and below desk level, talking, hearing, and seeing (up close, at a distance,
along the periphery, with depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus); walking from place to place within the office with occasional
use of stairs and no elevator available; bending, pushing, pulling, and standing for up to 2 hours; occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds
such as small office equipment, files, stacks of paper, reference and other materials.
Work is performed in an office setting with ability to speak and receive phone communications often. Work requires computer usage
with strength, dexterity, coordination and visual acuity to use keyboard and video display terminal and other office equipment.
Moderate travel required to shareholder communities, subsidiary offices and other locations as needed.
