The company is looking for Geological & Geophysical and Enterprise Risk Management
professionals having experience of Oil and Gas E&P industry.

GEOLOGICAL PROFESSIONALS
WITH MINIMUM 10 YEARS OF RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
Qualification
 Masters of Science in Geology with specialization in Petroleum Geology and related
subjects from a reputed local or foreign university.
Job Profile / Specifications
 Must have experience in hydrocarbon prospect evaluation / generation / risk assessment
through integration of geological and geophysical data.
 Should be able to generate geological maps, perform interpretation of seismic maps, well
log / correlation / geological field work / reserve estimation and burial history / geothermal
modeling.
 Must have understanding of petroleum economics and exposure to petrophysical evaluation
/ correlation, basin modeling software, Geographix and Petrel.
 Must have Knowledge of unconventional hydrocarbon exploration.
Age Limit: Max 45 years
GEOLOGICAL PROFESSIONALS
WITH MINIMUM 8 YEARS OF RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
Qualification
 4-years Bachelors or Masters degree in Geology from a reputed local or foreign university.
Job Profile / Specifications



Should have experience of Integrating and synthesizing regional G&G data to delineate
leads / prospects and establish recommendations for possible farm-in / farm-out or area for
acquisition.
Should have hands on experience of petrophysical evaluation through log interpretation /
core analysis to ascertain hydrocarbon prospectivity.
Should be able to ascertain reservoir parameters, carryout hydrocarbon volumetrics and
assist in economics of hydrocarbon prospects.

GEOPHYSICAL PROFESSIONALS
WITH MINIMUM 10 YEARS OF RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
Qualification
Master’s degree in Geophysics from a reputed local or foreign university

Job Profile / Specifications
 Must have extensive experience in 2D and 3D seismic data interpretation both manual and
workstation based with sound structural geology background. Understanding of different
seismic attributes is essential. Proficient in use of seismic interpretation software packages
preferably PC based Geographix and Petrel.
 Should have good exposure to survey design, seismic data acquisition and processing.
 Ability to apply seismic / sequence stratigraphy, Inversion and AVO towards prospect
generation.

ENTERPRISE RISK MANAGEMENT PROFESSIONALS (G&G)
WITH MINIMUM 7 YEARS OF RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
Qualification
 4-year Bachelor’s or Masters degree in Geosciences (Geology / Geophysics) from a reputed
local or foreign university.
Job Profile / Specifications
 Should have experience of G&G activities, exposure to risk management, reserves and
economics.
 Should have experience of assisting and coordinating geological & geophysical aspects of
the business and prepare rapid response plans that may be applied when circumstances
change.
 Should possess good analytical skills so as to analyze issues from various stand points and
provide effective solution(s).

ENTERPRISE RISK MANAGEMENT PROFESSIONALS (OPERATIONS)
WITH MINIMUM 7 YEARS OF RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
Qualification
 Masters of Business Administration preferably from Institute of Business Administration,
Karachi or Lahore University of Management Sciences along with a 4 year Bachelors
Job Profile / Specifications
 Should have experience in managing operational risk associated with the business.
 Responsible to analyze potential economic / financial and commercial risks that the
Company may face and develop a sustainable compliance and risk management
programme.
 Must have thorough understanding of the operating environment of the E&P sector along
with sound knowledge of the petroleum legislative and economic framework.
GENERAL

Candidates should be skilled in use of computers, especially latest software packages related to
their area of activity. They are expected to possess initiative, innovativeness and good
interpersonal skills.
Candidates possessing engineering qualifications should be registered with Pakistan
Engineering Council and valid registration certificate should be attached with the application.
Applicants meeting the requirements of qualification and job specifications are required to
appear for written test (GAT C for G&G professionals and GAT A for Enterprise Risk
Management Professionals ) to be conducted by National Testing Service (NTS) on 20 January,
2013.

Information about test venue along with roll number slips will be sent by NTS to eligible
candidates seven days before test. NTS will upload the results on its website.
Candidates securing minimum 60 percent in the NTS test will be further shortlisted on merit on
the basis of number of available positions and called for interviews accordingly.
Applications sent directly to PPL in contravention of prescribed procedure will not be
entertained.
Candidates who have obtained a third division in their career need not apply.
The Company offers market based remuneration.
