MODULE I (Prof. Daniela Pajardi)
COURSE AIMS
In the first module of the course the relationships between psychology and the law
and its specific scientific and professional aspects, as well as its relationship to
other disciplines (criminology, sociology, psychiatry) will be analyzed. The course
will explore the concepts of accountability, deviance and punishment, both with
reference to adults and particularly to juvenile offenders.

Prison psychology and the condition of imprisonment.
Juvenile deviance, criminal procedure and models of treatment.

MODULE II (Prof. Vincenza Bonsignore)
COURSE AIMS
The second module of the course will examine various topics related to juvenile
legal psychology; namely, adoption and fostering, as well as specific interventions
in the case of separation and divorce, such as court-appointed experts, interviews
with the minor and family mediation, as well as identifying the syndrome of
parental alienation. Lastly, also with regard to minors, the course will tackle the
issues of maltreatment and abuse, victimology and victim offender mediation.
