PTA Meeting held on Thursday 5th June 2014

1. Apologies: Sue Fleay, Simone Ammat, Anne Wilkinson, Deidre
Griffeths, George Kyle, Sarah Chambers.
2. The Minutes from Committee meeting held on 21st March 2014 were
agreed and signed.
3. Ruth confirmed that the school had purchased books for all three classes
with the very kind £200 anonymous donation received by the PTA.
4. Organisation of the Fun Run
 Clarissa confirmed Temporary Event Notice had been obtained and
would be displayed at the Fun Run.
 Risk assessment was provided by Ruth and reviewed and
approved by Committee (to be kept in fun run file).
 Steve Tamblin – race starter. Mic not working so decision made to
ring the bell to start. Steve to announce that little children should
hang back to avoid collision with enthusiastic big ones!

Set Up – From 1pm. Gill to provide a gazebo. (Emma, Gill, Clarissa,
Simone) Committee back at 4, Stall holders at 5.
5. AOB: PTA to fund the anti bullying show follow up - £495. PTA has set
up fund raising with PlanetLabel. Commission paid to PTA for name
labels sold through school. A letter will go to all parents and parents of
those starting in September encouraging them to order PlanetLabel
Stikins labels, and a link is to put on school web site.
The meeting closed at 3pm
