Are Beauty Pageants child abuse?
Babies with Botox, anorexic children... child abuse?
Yes...stop child beauty pageants! Beauty pageants are a form of child abuse,
and we need to value intelligence rather than beauty.
Child beauty pageants can lead to eating disorders and
mental health issues, so the pageants need to be banned immediately. When a
child has a photo altered, some of the kids start to see themselves as not
perfect, and they start to lose weight rapidly. Therefore, We should not
have a young girl worrying about weight loss. If a girl sees a prettier,
skinnier winner, then they will feel not wanted or successful, and can
develop depression. We need to tell kids at a young age the beauty isn't
everything. Judges call beauty pageants the "complete Package," which shows
kids a distorted image about themselves; so stop making little girls hate
themselves and stop beauty pageants! We shouldn't have anorexic depressed
kids. Let kids be kids!
On top of eating disorders, girls are getting a lot of
pressure from families. Some mothers are injecting their kids with Botox,
and this is slowly killing them! If families are teaching their kids that
plastic surgery is great, then that's child abuse, and simply messed up.
Parents are also making their kids think that if they win these pageants,
they will succeed. Therefore, if kids grow up thinking this, they will not
have a good role model, or good example in life. Beauty fades, and parents
need to have their kids be aware of that instead of pressuring them.
Children are wearing artificial teeth, heavy makeup, and getting
artificial tans; and this need to stop! Kids are wearing dentures, extreme
amounts of makeup, and they think it's right. Furthermore, They will grow up
messed up, and will not know when to say when. They are also artificial
tanning for every single pageant, and this makes them feel confident. This
shows that when they get older, they may develop something that the media
calls "tanorexia." If you send your 8 year old daughter to the tanning bed
now, you may still be doing that when they are 24, because they will still
be doing the same thing -- pageants. It's okay for adults to do these
things, but if you are below 14, it's not.
Beauty isn't everything, in fact, beauty pageants is child
abuse, and we shouldn't favor beauty over intelligence. Don't let more
children have pain...let children be themselves. Don't inject them with
Botox, and tan them--they won't turn out okay. STOP the pageants!!
